Vellarethu Family was established in the early part of 16th century. It was the period when Kerala was divided and remained under the control of several local kingdoms. Of which the state known as Thekumkur was in the fore front of development and was ruled by a local household (Kovilakom), centred at Kottayam.
111th Annual General Meeting
The 111th Annual General Meeting of Vellarethu Kudumbayogam will be held on 13th May2023, Saturday from 9:30 am to 1 pm at Kozhencherry, St Thomas Marthoma Church auditorium.

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to secure the legacy of our aristocratic family and strengthen the bonds of each and every family member associated with Vellarethu Family. With the onset of Digital age and Social Media, the online presence would serve as a stepping stone for the Millennials and Gen Z generations to carry the torch with love and unity.

HONOURABLE PATRONS
Moran Mor Baselios Geevarghese II of the Malankara Church. Third Catholicos of the East in Malankara and 16th Malankara Metropolitan, was born to Ulahannan and Naithi of the Kallaserri family in Kurichi, Kottayam India on 16 June 1874. He entered the eternal realms on 3 January 1964 at Develokam Aramana He was laid to rest beside the Devalokam Aramana Chapel. His Anniversary is on 3rd January.
His Grace Paulose Mar Pachomius, Metropolitan of Mavelikkara diocese entered Eternal Rest on 1st August 2012. His tomb is located at Bethany in Perunadu, Ranny. H.G. Paulose Mar Pachomius was the Senior Shreshta Rakshadhikari of Vellarethu Kudumba Yogam.He was born on 26th January 1946 as the second child of K. K. John and Mariamma John of Kolathukalathil Neysseril family from Kurichy Kallacheril.
HG Abraham Epiphanios, our Shreshta Rakshadhikari, is currently the Metropolitan of the Mavelikara Diocese of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.He was the former Metropolitan of Sultan Bathery Diocese and Assistant Metropolitan of Bangalore Diocese. He was born on 17th September 1960 in Vattamparambil (Vayalirambil Branch), Kozhenchery. He is also a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, Malaysia.
